WIN A Personal Training Program Worth R4000 With P3 Fitness Centre

A while ago I wrote this post. One that resulted in floods and floods of emails, calls and messages. I’m still amazed at just how many women could relate to how I was (and sometimes still am) feeling.

It’s been a few months and I’m getting there. Slowly. I still have some kilos to go, but in the middle of work, training for a Half Iron Man, being a mom, wife and friend, I find very little time to stress about it as much.

Also, I really, really love pizza.

I do also fall off the wagon from time to time, and being winter in Joburg also means its a lot harder to train and find time when it isn’t freezing or dark, to get my ass in to gear.

I’m pretty sure I’m not the only person who has hit a bit of a mid-year slump, and who’s waiting for a change of season/new month/week/year/bikini/the stars to align to start working for the body they want.

The thing is, the time really is now, and every day wasted means a day you haven’t started. A year from now you’ll wish you had. I promise

So, some good news for those of you ready to take the plunge, but aren’t quite sure where to start.

I’m teaming up with P3 Fitness Centre and personal trainer Jennifer Barkhuizen (BA (socsci): Sports PsychologyBA (HMS) HONS: Sport Science) and giving away a two months personalised online training experience with her. The prize includes a dietary programme, online training plans specific to your needs, Skype consultations with Jennifer, body measurements, before and after photos and so much more. The prize is valued at R4000, but the way you will feel afterwards is priceless.

I personally find that being accountable to someone is half the battle won, so a customized 2 months plan with an exceptional trainer might just be the motivation you’ve been lacking till now.

So, if you are looking to get your body back after baby, trying to lose weight for your wedding or simply want to be a better you, then this is the competition for you.

It’s so simple to enter:

  • Comment on this post and tell me why you want to win this prize
  • Like the Rupert Approves Facebook page
  • Make sure you follow the Rupert Approves blog
  • You can also get an extra entry by tweeting me @KateKearney

Winners will be drawn and notified on Friday 3 June

In the meantime, if you want to find out more about P3, you can contact Jennifer on barkhuizen.jennifer@gmail.com

Good Luck!

  1. You are an inspiration! I would love to win this prize. My second baby is nearly five months and I am battling to lose the last few kilo’s. I’m going back to work in June and would really love to get into a routine of exercising again as well as eating right! Please choose me!!!!!

    1. I’m pretty sure I am writing this because of the fact that the only one getting any exercise is my bank account, as the gym memebership debit order sprints through and stays a winner! So yes, I would love to sign up for accountability and self love. I have struggled since varsity with fluctuating weight gain and mushrooming pizza parlours. That said, I hope I do win cause I have nothing to lose…ok I’m lying ???

  2. Being a mom to a 4.5 month old baby, you just never have time to work off the baby fat 🙁 I would LOVE LOVE LOVE this!!!!

  3. The gays in Jo’burg (well everywhere I suppose) have a flippant saying – No pecs, no sex! While this is hardly the truth as there is someone out there for everyone (apparently I’m a bear cub/chubby otter/chaser/nerd – whatever that means) and so I’ve been welcomed and loved and feel great. ish.
It’s amazing that no matter how others see you, post or pre baby, post or pre whatever (I was so far in the closet I basically lived in Narnia) – that’s it’s about how you see yourself. I was super skinny and only gained weight after school, well into my 20’s, even then I never saw myself as heavy -I Kinda still don’t. But now, increasingly, I see myself as unhealthy and that scares me more than coming out to the grand masters of the KKK. I’m risking my body and state of mind and I could use a bit of help fixing that.

  4. After being shot in a home invasion a couple of years ago, not being allowed to exercise properly and surgery I am finally allowed to really get my a $$ into gear and would LOVE some professional help to get me on the right track.

  5. Oh my word I need this. This year I’ve committed to getting my wait and body under control but I work stupid hours and it’s hard…like really really hard. This would def help….a lot!

  6. This time last year I was a triathlete. Now I’m not even a try athlete. Every time I’ve started something has thrown me off the good path. I think you’re onto something with the accountability factor and this could be the best thing to happen to fatty Dave

  7. Meeee please! Not that having had a baby two weeks ago makes for any excuse, but having the help and guidance from a personal trainer will ensure I go about this post-baby transformation properly and more sustainably.

  8. Just had my second daughter (9 weeks old). I’ve never been thin but I was fit and strong when I fell pregnant and want to get back there. Started back at gym last week but could use a professional push. Pick me pick me!!

  9. My big boy is already 3 years old and it’s been 3 years of constant struggle with my fatness! My weight yoyo’s all the time and I literally just want to give up! This prize would set me back on the right track and blast those last few kg’s of fat that is stuck to my body like big fat leeches! So before I fall pregnant again, please help me! Thanks for the opportunity xxx

  10. I’m a professional athlete and have just come back from a broken leg. Which came with lots of rest and lots of weight gain and muscle loss. I would love to get a kick start to being back on track! Pick me, pick me!!!

  11. Pick me Pick me! 🙂 I have been struggling to shrug this weight for ages now, and would really do with some extra help! I promise to be fully committed to the 2 month plan – pinky swear! I dont have a twitter account, so I hope this gives me extra points – * tweet tweet*

  12. Wow what an amazing prize! Your post on post baby body really resonated with me. .. my boy is nearly 10 months old and I still feel flabby and unfit. I was running half marathons pre baby! I a doctor who works more than 60 hours a week and find it really hard to find time to exercise…. and when I do have time I find I dither around not sure of what to do. What I was doing pre baby doesn’t seem to cut it anymore! I really need someone to guide me to get thugs back in shape. Please pick me! Thanks for your awesome blog, your posts are always hilarious and true.

  13. I’m training to ride 450kms in 24 hours in July from London to Paris for charity. I’d love some help from an expert trainer to work out where I’m going wrong & to make sure I’m as prepared as I can be 🙂

  14. What an amazing prize, Kate! I would love to win this prize because I remember how good I felt and looked 6-8kg lighter and want to be that way again.. I just need a little push and some help getting there! 🙂

  15. I would love this prize but I would like to give it to my father in law. He is turning 70 in July (you would never think that when you meet him). He is still very active but with two knee replacements, a love for food and wine and being of a generation where fitness was not do reveered he could use the professional guidance. My husband loves his dad and with a healthier lifestyle he can be around for a lot longer driving us a little insane ? I would love if you pick me and by proxy my father-in-law.
